The Bulawayo Railway Museum is one of its kind. It houses a rich history of this important transport mode which was at the forefront of developing this part of central and Southern Africa. It is currently being refurbished and material added.
Bulawayo Railway Museums oldest exhibits date back to 1897 and include Cecil Rhodes’ personal railway coach. Some of the trains are periodically taken out on the mainline by the National Railways of Zimbabwe on historical tours.
