Wilderness Safaris will open an exclusive camp, Little DumaTau, an exclusive and intimate camp featuring four tented suites.
This is close to the DumaTau Camp, which has been part of its offering in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana since 1997 and which will undergo an upgrade.
Little DumaTau will be situated to the north of the current DumaTau. The area between the two camps will feature a new wellness space and spa looking out over the water, a fire deck and an outdoor “Star Bed”, on which guests can sleep outside under the sky.
DumaTau will close this month for upgrades. Enhancements will include doubling the size of the rooms to include a lounge, making the bathrooms larger with indoor and outdoor showers and upgrading cooling systems, ventilation and more shade.
Each of the eight tented suites at DumaTau and four tents at Little DumaTau will have a deck and plunge pool. The main area will have its own fire pit, an outside dining area and a “curiosity room”, where guests can explore, browse and read about the wildlife and research across the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve.
In addition to morning, afternoon and night game drives, boating excursions, nature walks and birding opportunities, guests will be able to experience a helicopter flight as an optional extra activity.
DumaTau and Little DumaTau will form part of Wilderness Safaris’ Premier portfolio and both are expected to open in August 2020. – Tourism Update
