South African DJ and producer DJ Maphorisa, the ‘King of Amapiano’ Kabza De Small, Zimbabwe’s ‘Queen of Amapiano’ Sha Sha and multi-award winning South African record producer Master KG headline the 2022 edition of the Vic Falls Carnival.
The Vic Falls Carnival is Africa’s most exhilarating music and adventure festival and returns in 2022 for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, bigger and better than ever. It offers an incredible setting, a music-hungry crowd mixed with local and international music fans and boasts a lineup that showcases the best talent from around Africa.
For the past nine years, the Vic Falls Carnival has always taken place over the New Year period. However, for the 2022 edition, the organisers have reformatted the event, and it will now take place from Friday, 29 April 2022 to Sunday, 1 May 2022.
Friday, 29 April 2022 – Grand opening
The 10th Edition Carnival will kick off celebrations with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, who will open the three-day carnival with the best in live Afro beats and Amapiano tunes.
Saturday, 30 April 2022 – Electric Safari Experience
On the second night, ‘Jerusalema’ hitmaker Master KG and a host of other top artists and performers will take to the stage for the Electric Safari Experience.
Sunday, 1 May 2022 – Secret Picnic Bush Party
The carnival will end off with a Secret Picnic Bush Party. Revellers can expect laid-back vibes with various live acts on the day as well as delicious local cuisine and craft brew.
