The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show in Victoria Falls, a must-do legendary experience, specializes in traditional African dining, drumming, and dancing.
The food is cooked and served in the style and quantity of a lavish feast, including irresistible desserts. On arrival, you are dressed in a “chitenge” (traditional sarong) and welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere in which the tantalizing aromas of local dishes and game meat on the braai (barbecue) fill the restaurant, partially open to the star-filled African sky.
Bookings are essential, and it is recommended that you are seated by 7.15pm to make the most of this fun-filled experience. If you’re staying at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club or Victoria Falls Safari Suites, a courtesy shuttle is available to and from The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show.
On entering The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show you are ushered into the main enclosure, where your senses will be bombarded by the tastes, sights and sounds of Africa. During the feast, the entertainment incorporates mbira music, traditional dancers, a local folk storyteller, a fortune teller, a hair braider, elaborate face painters and souvenir sellers.
