Frog & Fern Cottages are set in the village once known as Melsetter. They are 18km from CMNP Base Camp, 3km from Bridal Veil Falls and share a common boundary with the Eland Sanctuary. This location is perfect for walking locally or for getting prepared for a serious hike into the Chimanimani Mountains. Frog & Fern provides quality self-catering accommodation in 3 stone, thatch and wood cottages housing a maximum of ten people at any one time
Accommodation
The cottages are fully equipped for Self Catering to have a braai area in the garden and are close to Bridal Veil Falls. The owners, Jane and Dee live on-site and are happy to assist you with information about the area. A small camp-site with boma, braai, hot shower and separate loo. Camping costs $15.00pppn.
Miombo Cottage sleeps up to six people in a double storey cottage, with the main bedroom downstairs en suite. Upstairs are four single beds, dorm style. The Miombo Cottage has two bathrooms, lounge with a fireplace an open plan dining area, kitchen and stone braai.
Msasa Cottage sleeps two people. This cottage has a large open verandah and a stone braai. It’s located next door to Miombo
Mzanje Cabin sleeps two to three people and has a fireplace in the lounge, large kitchen, one shower and loo with a small outside sitting area including a stone braai.
