Our iconic 9-hole golf course is the view from the main lodge. Alongside this, Aberfoyle Lodge has an assortment of activities on offer. Ranging from self-guided walks and picnics along the riverside to a zipline tour through the treetops over the river. The amazing diversity of the Honde Valley and Aberfoyle areas lend themselves to more than just a holiday. If you are a birder – you are in paradise! Our bird guide Morgan is exceptional, if you are after a special bird found in the area he will certainly do his best to find it for you.
All of our rooms are tastefully decorated to match the colours of the special bird that the room is named after. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom, hairdryer, coffee and tea station, desk, ceiling fans and verandas overlooking either the golf course (executive suites) or the forest (all standard suites). Should you require a cot for your little one or a mattress on the floor we can supply these.
Our full range of activities will tempt and encourage you to enjoy a part of Zimbabwe unlike any other. The forests are a birding paradise. Our birding guide, Morgan will be delighted to show you many of the special species of birds that surround the Lodge. There is a challenging (some say iconic) 9-hole golf course or try out the zipline tour through the tree canopy over the Nyamakombe River.
As you arrive at Aberfoyle Lodge you will be greeted by the stunning Arches@Aberfoyle. This building is expertly designed by a leading Zimbabwean architect. The building boasts an incredible panoramic view of the golf course and surrounding mountains from its deck.
The state-of-the-art board room with a view of the beautiful gardens is furnished with a locally made wooden table and chairs and a large TV screen. It is available to host strategic planning meetings, executive board meetings or conferences. This space fits up to 15 people comfortably.
The largest hall space of the venue, currently home to the art exhibition “The Stars are Bright”, will be available for larger group conferences, launch events or weddings. A microphone and an in-built sound system are available as well as a large TV screen in the hall space, perfect for presentations.
